I have a Great Dane and she poops allot. I feel guilty throwing away so many bags of poo a day that I know will just end up in a landfill. I was told using a pet waste digestion system would be best but does it work during winter months? Are there any suggestions for disposing my dog’s waste safely?

Let her poop in the grass, its a lot better for the environment. It also helps the grass grow and other animals eat it.

Why should you feel guilty? Your dogs poops that much & it has to be thrown away.

I have a very large yard & the weather takes care of the waste. If it gets to smelling I just dig a hole & rake it all in & bury it.

They make biodegradable poo bags. Get some, and throw the guilt away with the poo.

    Good luck!

  5. admin Said,

There are a few options available: 1) use disposable doggie bags and throw in garbage, which in time will decompose; 2) use special decomposters, such as the green cone, which decompose dog and cat poop very effective; 3) place in hot compost; however, best not to use compost in veggie gardens; 4) dig trench to bury poop. I agree, don’t feel guilty; afer all, we all have to do our “business”!
